Authority levels

Qwik provides several authority levels that control access to records. There are 6 levels, ranging from basic to administrator. The highest level has a numeric value of 0 for administrators and CEOs, down to the Basic level 5.

Here's a guide:

Level 0 - Administrators, CEO, etc.
Level 1 - Top or Upper (upper management)
Level 2 - Mid (middle management)
Level 3 - General (management)
Level 4 - Senior associates, alliances
Level 5 - Basic

Rules

Provided the administrator has set the appropriate property settings, users on a given level cannot view other users on the same level but can view records created by other users with a lower authority level (i.e. higher number). For example, a Level 3 user can view records of Level 4 and Level 5 users, but not Level 2 users.

Contact authority

When a contact is created, you can set the access authority level for others. Again, if the administrator has set the necessary property settings to restrict contact access based on level of access, the above rules will also apply for contacts.

Administrator note:

In the Administration panel > [Settings] tab > Section 2 - Property settings, select RestrictActivities and/or RestrictContacts and set the value(s) to Y to apply the restriction rules.
